50 Ukrainian soldiers, including Mariupol defenders, return from captivity
On Thursday, November 24, 50 Ukrainian soldiers were returned from Russian captivity, 19 Mariupol's defenders are among them, 12 of whom were evacuated from Azovstal
The head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andrii Yermak, wrote about this on Telegram.
Yermak emphasized that it was also possible to return 15 prisoners from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and 7 from Zmiinyi Island.
A total of 20 National Guardsmen, 12 soldiers from the Navy, 10 soldiers from Ukraine's Armed Forces, 6 from Ukraine's State Border Service, and 2 from the Territorial Defense Forces were returned from Russian captivity. Of the military, two are officers, the remaining 48 are privates and sergeants.
“We continue to work on the release of all our people from captivity. I thank the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War for their work. We will return everyone,” Yermak thanked.

On November 23, Ukraine returned another 35 Ukrainian military personnel and 1 civilian from Russian captivity.
