43 military officials, 17 organizations: Canada expands sanctions on Russia
The Canadian government has introduced new sanctions against Russia, adding 43 military officials and 17 organizations to its list
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
According to the message, on August 2, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Melanie Joly, announced the introduction of additional sanctions in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"Canada is introducing new measures against 43 military officials and 17 organizations involved in the senseless bloodshed of Russian President Vladimir Putin, including the horrific events in Bucha", the Canadian Foreign Ministry wrote.
The press service also noted that Canada strongly condemns the killing of civilians in Ukraine and will use all possible means to ensure a full investigation of violations of international law throughout Ukraine, particularly in Bucha.
According to the press service, the Canadian government, together with its international partners, is looking for options for new measures in response to the unjustified actions of the Russian regime.
"We will not allow Vladimir Putin and his aides to act with impunity. The egregious actions of the Russian military machine will not be forgotten, and Canada will continue to work with its partners in the international community to bring it to justice. Canada supports Ukraine", it is noted.
