42,000 people return to Ukraine in one day
The number of citizens choosing to return to Ukraine keeps increasing. On May 23, about 42,000 people returned to their country.
The Western Regional Department of Ukrainian State Border Service reported the figures, Espreso.West informs.
More than 30,000 people left Ukraine over the last day. More than 18,000 of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest moved to Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. At the same time, almost 42,000 people came to Ukraine, including about 38,000 Ukrainians.
On May 23, 72,000 people crossed the western Ukrainian border with the EU and Moldova. More than 18,000 vehicles drove across the border.
167 trucks with humanitarian aid were recorded to enter Ukraine.
