361 Ukrainian children killed, over 714 injured since beginning of Russian invasion

Russian forces have killed 361 children and injured more than 714 during Moscow‘s full-scale war on Ukraine.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office in Telegram.

"More than 1,075 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of August 18, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 361. The number of injured has increased - more than 714," juvenile prosecutors emphasized.

The data is not final, because it continue to be established in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The most affected children are in Donetsk region - 376, Kharkiv region - 200, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 61, Mykolaiv region - 60, Kherson region - 55, Zaporizhia region - 40.

In Kharkiv, on August 17, a Russian projectile hit a residential building, as a result of which a 12-year-old girl was injured.

In Krasnograd, Kharkiv Oblast, Russian  occupiers fired at residential infrastructure and wounded a 12-year-old girl.

"Due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 2,328 educational institutions were damaged. 289 were completely destroyed," the Prosecutor General's Office noted.
