34 people, including children, injured after missile attack on Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region
Late in the evening on April 30 and during the night of May 1, Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region experienced explosions as enemy troops launched a rocket attack on the city. As a result of Russian missile attacks, 34 people were injured
Serhii Lysak, the head of the Regional Military Administration, provided details of the incident.
"There are already 34 injured due to a missile attack on Pavlohrad district. Five of them are children. The youngest girl is only 8 years old," wrote Serhii Lysak wrote.
"People have bruises, fractures, cuts and lacerations, contusions, and poisoning from combustion products. Two women, 45 and 55 years old, are in intensive care. The rest are being treated on an outpatient basis," added the head of the Regional Military Administration.
Earlier, 25 victims of the attack were reported. Additionally, an industrial enterprise in the city suffered damage, leading to a fire that has already been extinguished by rescue teams.
At the same time, 19 multi-storey buildings, 25 private houses, 6 school and preschool education institutions, and 5 shops were damaged in the residential area.
The district's communities also suffered destruction. Almost 40 residential buildings were damaged in Verbkivska, and 2 in Yurievska villages. In the Mezhyritska village, a school was damaged.
Serhii Lysak, the head of the Regional Military Administration, and Mykola Lukashuk, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, provided details of the incident.
The air command of East 2 successfully intercepted and shot down seven rockets, but some managed to hit the Pavlohrad district, resulting in significant destruction and casualties, the message said.
Currently, it has been reported that 25 individuals, including three children, have sought medical assistance. Among the injured, two women born in 1967 and 1978, as well as a man born in 1995, have been hospitalized. Additionally, an industrial enterprise in the city suffered damage, leading to a fire that has already been extinguished by rescue teams.
The residential area of Pavlohrad also incurred significant damage, including 19 high-rise buildings, 25 private houses, six schools and preschools, and five shops. Communities in the district were not spared, with almost 40 residential buildings damaged in the area of Verbky, two in Yuryivka, and a school in the area of Mezhyrich.
Emergency services are actively operating at the impact points, and efforts are underway to gather more information and assess the situation accurately. It should be noted that earlier, Anatoliy Vershyna, the mayor of the city, had already reported to Suspilne the initial explosions during an air alert that lasted from approximately 9:30 p.m. to 11:17 p.m.
