Polskie Radio reports that the incident occurred yesterday February 11, near the border with Ukraine. According to the police, farmers protesting nearby stopped Ukrainian trucks and poured grain from them onto the road.
"After the paperwork was completed, three trucks driven by Ukrainian citizens entered Poland. The protesters did not let the trucks through and at some point opened the trailers, which partially spilled the grain onto the road. The drivers turned back towards Ukraine," said Eva Chyzh from the Main Department of the City Police in Chelm.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the details of the incident.
"We are conducting an investigation, identifying the persons involved in the incident, interviewing witnesses," said Eva Chyzh.
Earlier, the news agency Konkurent reported the information.
"The police arrived, shrugged their shoulders, collected the data, and that was it. They wanted to cut the hatch with a battery-powered grinder, broke the seal and poured out the wheat. Three tons fell out of each truck. These are our "Polish friends". It was unexpected, but the fact is the fact," says an eyewitness.

Vasyl Zvarych, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland, issued a statement on his Facebook page, expressing concern over the reported spillage of grain by Polish farmers from Ukrainian grain bins.
According to the ambassador, the Embassy and Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin promptly contacted the Polish police to initiate an investigation into the incident.
The Polish police have reportedly initiated legal proceedings. Ukrainian diplomats are actively engaging with the drivers of the implicated trucks, maintaining direct communication to address the situation.
“Such methods of the protesters should not be tolerated in a European civilized country, not to mention the moral side of this provocation. Therefore, we demand that the perpetrators be found and brought to justice. The Polish authorities should respond decisively in the legal field to this shameful and offensive crime for Ukrainians and the majority of Poles and prevent such barbaric actions in the future,” the statement said.
