Polish farmers report resumption of strikes on border with Ukraine

Polish farmers plan to go on strike at certain checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border on the morning of February 9

The State Customs Service of Ukraine reported the information. 

Polish customs officers informed that the blocking of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint is to begin on Friday, February 9, at 11:00 am. The protest has been approved by local authorities until March 9. 

According to the post, the protesters will let all buses and one truck in both directions through for an hour. Humanitarian aid and fuel tanks will also be allowed to enter Ukraine unhindered.

As for other checkpoints on the border with Poland, information is being clarified. Customs officials note that meetings with representatives of the Polish administration have already been scheduled.

"After receiving official confirmation of the blocking of the Polish-Ukrainian border, we will additionally inform about the situation at the checkpoints," they add.
